Backup

Question:
How does the backup function work ?
Answer:
The following items are automatically backed up to our separate backup system daily:
  • Web pages
  • Email messages that you have not saved on the server or downloaded from the server
  • Databases
We also back-up continuously to a back-up server at another location. Data is saved for up to one year there. These backups are primarily done to prevent data loss if a server completely ceases to function.

Question:
Can my lost data be restored?
Answer:
Yes, at the current hourly rate. Contact us at support@crystone.seif you want data restored. Please note that if it concerns email messages that you downloaded to your email program and chose not to save a copy on the server, only the messages that were on the server at the time of the backup are backed up.

Question:
What should I do to make sure my email messages are backed up?
Answer:
If you use an email program, you can choose to leave a copy on the server. There is a setting in your email program for this. Then your email messages will be backed up. If you only use webmail, there will be backups of the messages you have saved.
